# MRC Creekside — Methodist Retirement Communities

> Walker County's only not-for-profit, faith-based senior living community, serving Huntsville, TX and surrounding areas since 1985. Originally opened as The Ella Smither Geriatric Center in Town Creek, renamed and fully renovated as Creekside in 2013. Owned and operated by Methodist Retirement Communities (MRC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit headquartered in The Woodlands, TX, with 13 communities across Texas. Located at 1433 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Huntsville, TX 77340. AL License #147595.

Mission: We honor and serve older adults as an expression of Christ's love. Certified in the Eden Alternative Registry. Recognized as Senior Care's Best Places to Work 2025 and Best of Walker County. Open to adults of all nationalities, races, genders, disabilities, and religions. The Resident Covenant Fund extends care to those who outlive their resources through no fault of their own — a promise found nowhere else in Walker County.
