CREEKSIDE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
James Logan is the executive director for MRC Creekside Retirement Community in Huntsville, Texas. James has been associated with MRC since July of 2000. He started his career with MRC as the dining director for MRC Crestview in 2000 and was later promoted, after successfully completing the requirements for his Texas administrator’s license. James graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in food science and technology. He is also a graduate from The Leadership Institute from LeadingAge Texas and successfully completed his CASP (Certified Aging Service Professional) certification. James is a member of the Huntsville LIONS Club, an active member of the Huntsville — Walker County Chamber of Commerce, and has served on the board of directors for both. He has three sons — Jeromy, Patrick and Jacob Logan. Jeromy and Patrick are currently attending Sam Houston State University, while Jacob is attending Lonestar College. In his free time, James enjoys camping, swimming, hiking, family time, and playing with his two dogs — Simba and Gunner.
HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST
Abigail joined MRC Creekside as the Executive Assistant and was promoted to HR Specialist in 2019. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Sam Houston State University with an emphasis in Healthcare. Abigail has a passion for serving the families in her community. She and her husband have lived in the Huntsville area since 2014 and are active members in their local church. “The measure of a Life is its service.” Sam Houston State motto.
Courtney joined MRC Creekside in 2016 as the Senior Living Counselor. She has more than 15 years of experience in sales and customer service. In September of 2019, Courtney transitioned to the Marketing Director where she passionately assists families with their Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing/Rehab needs. She is an active member of the Huntsville-Walker County Chamber of Commerce. Courtney lives in Conroe, Texas, with her husband and son.
LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER
Kittie Vanston has worked for MRC Creekside since December 2015. She holds a master’s degree in social work and has worked in the health care field for over 35 years. Having spent most of her life in Dallas, Kittie decided in 2005 to trade traffic jams and smog for blue skies and pine trees. Settled on 15 acres in a renovated farm house close to Huntsville, she and her husband enjoy caring for their 2 horses, 5 dogs and 2 cats.
Assisted living director
Joie joined the MRC team in January 2017 as the Human Resources Coordinator. She holds a SHRM-SCP human resource certification, and brings over 15 years of experience to our team. She transitioned to Assisted Living Director in September 2019. Joie is a Certified Dementia Care Professional (CMDCP) through the International Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (ICCDP).
Joie is a lifelong resident of Montgomery County and currently lives in Montgomery, Texas with her husband, Jeff, 2 sons, Cash and Rayce, 2 dogs and 2 cats. She also has 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren. She enjoys spending her spare time entertaining friends and family in her home and looks forward to annual beach vacations.
Joie volunteers her time and talent serving on the board of a 501(c)(3) charity that supports underprivileged youth and elderly in Montgomery County.
FOOD SERVICE DIRECTOR
Jhanell Iredia has been the Food Service Director at MRC Creekside since May 2019. Jhanell started working for Sodexo LLC for 2 years in Aviation with United Airlines and transitioned to Senior Living with MRC. Expanding her managerial skills spanning over a decade, Jhanell specializes in food safety programs, team building, retail sales and has pursued her CDM certification. Jhanell is originally from New Orleans, LA, and has made Houston, TX her home for over 15 years now with her lovable Shih Tzu dog. She is a member of Lakewood Church and a volunteer for Spring ISD school district.
Nichole has bachelor’s degree in journalism and her master’s degree in media communication, public relations. Throughout her career, Nichole has worked for nonprofit children’s organizations doing fundraising through grant writing and special events. Nichole is originally from Illinois and moved to Texas in 2010. She and her husband John have been married 21 years and have 3 sons, Ian, Sam and Nicholas, and currently reside in The Woodlands. In addition to her family keeping her pretty busy, Nichole enjoys photography, long walks with their dog, Sherlock, and spending time with friends.
