Now, twelve years later, the needs of the area are continuing to grow, prompting Creekside to strategically respond by repositioning the community to better serve the needs of the county. There are four key things happening at Creekside that will better serve the needs of area seniors.

Only a few weeks after moving in, Sugg even gave Jennifer a new nickname, calling her the “Princess of the Palace,” because he always saw her giving tours and showcasing the community with such grace and kindness. One day, Sugg came to Jennifer’s office with a request, “Can I draw you?” he asked. Jennifer was stunned but answered with curiosity, “Sure! Why not?”

It is notable, when pressed to explain why she spends her time making these gifts, Wells didn’t say she loves making blankets and hats, instead she said, “I love to make people smile!” Perhaps that is the difference between a hobby and purpose, the motive behind the action. For Roma, she isn’t stitching together blankets, she is stitching together smiles.

Walton Inspires, a 501(c)3, was launched to leverage the power of mentorship, tutoring, and resourcing to help students reach their full potential. The organization offers practical tools like assistance with finding grants, scholarships, and help filling out applications, even extending their own scholarship to qualifying seniors attending Navarro College.
